My friend Vincent was in town, and we went out to the coast to explore and camp near the ocean. In addition to a wonderful hike through forest, across dunes, around a lake, and along the coast, we built a fantastic fire with hand gathered wood.

I went on a trip to a number of sites in New Mexico with my local SEDS chapter. This trip included visits to the Trinity Site, the VLA, and White Sands.

Kitt Peak Observatory is surprisingly unpicturesque for being at the top of a mountain. There are fewer vistas than you’d think, and much of the vegetation is, to speak kindly, bland. Nonetheless, I managed to find a few shots that I thought were pretty cool.
